Let's be honest, we are all pretty busy- and how could we not be? Working jobs, taking care of our homes, and the traffic OH BOY the traffic. Is there anyone who enjoys sitting in construction zones, rushing into grocery stores just to grab the milk you've been to busy to get for 3 days, or the never ending to-do list of life? Sometimes it's nice to just have a small escape, to take a step back and remember why you are running around and that there is still so much to enjoy.
When we stood on top of a hill years ago and stared at the beautiful rolling hills scattered with wildflowers and trees it was breathtaking. Instantly we knew that we were starting something big. That land had a purpose and it's natural elegance needed to be preserved but also shared with others. In that same spot a month later we prayed as a family that we would not lose sight of the end or be frightened with the hurdles we knew were ahead of us.
As each phase of planning came up we made decisions to captivate the natural elegance of the property and to highlight it. Our venue does not face the road - a bold decision we made to allow our clients and guests to forget where they are and truly embrace the beauty around them. To give the opportunity to forget about the to-do list, the DFW construction nightmare, and just BREATHE. The rocked brook that cascades down the side of the hill into multiple ponds is made from rocks pulled from around the property and were each hand placed. Even the venue has large windows that allow natural light to flood the main hall brightening your day and mirroring the simple and natural elegance that is just on the other side of the window panes.
When you come to visit us and stand in front of the large hand crafted doors overlooking the ceremony site & pond you are standing in that same spot on top of the hill that we envisioned everything years ago. We are so excited to share this little slice of heaven and all it's natural elegance with you and hope that it brings a little southern charm into your busy life!

We love flowers, who doesn't? They brighten any room and add finishing elements unlike any other. If you're like some of us however, you may not have been blessed with a green thumb let alone the ability to create gorgeous arrangements from scratch. Needless to say, it makes us at Hawthorn Hills Ranch appreciate the professionals even more! & Having such beautiful arrangements brought into our venue is always exciting.
Last April we had the honor of hosting a photo-shoot featuring some gorgeous arrangements from Gathered Floral Design + Events. Let us just say that we simply mentioned what colors the style would be and let them take the reins and each arrangement blew us away! Not only was the attention to detail noticeable, but working with owner Sarah Burke was a joy and as stress-free as anyone would want. Her experience, knowledge and creativity makes each event as unique as those who are enjoying them and we sure do hope to work with her again soon. When speaking with Sarah she elaborated on the meaning behind the business name for us.

With our venue officially done, the ceremony site finishing up and us moving into the venue prepping for all our Fall brides it's about time we say hello! Our story began years ago, fueled by a passion for service and making dreams come true. With our doors opening this Fall we cannot contain our excitement.
Exhausted from the chapter we are closing with construction coming to a halt, we eagerly look forward to the excitement and breath of fresh air as we are able to focus on our purpose: hosting and celebrating with you! We have a heart for helping others and for celebrating the moments in life that build individuals up, moments they will remember forever.
Our name comes from our beautiful location and natural elegant landscape. Our venue sits on the side of a North Texas rolling hill and overlooks the ceremony site as well as the natural beauty that surrounds it. It's easy to forget how close to so many amenities you and your guests are when looking out the large windows at a beautiful sunset and it sure does encompass our southern chic charm! We hope you follow along with us & are helped by our fantastic team along the way.
